Nine UC IPM Pest Notes now link to the California Department of Pesticide Regulation's health and environmental issues Web site. The information is part of the DPR's implementation of the Healthy Schools Act of 2000 (Assembly Bill 2260). The first nine Pest Notes linked are ants, cockroaches, flies, head lice, spiders, termites, drywood termites, pocket gophers, and house mouse.

Research projects listed in the UC IPM Funded Projects database are now searchable on the Web. These are projects funded by UC IPM since 1979, and are categorized by host, pest, discipline, beneficial organism, year that funding began, and principal investigator.

Weather Station News is new to the UC IPM weather database. Read about the latest changes, such as station additions and removals, major data problems, and key activity modifications.

The 1996 data has been added to the Pesticide Use Summaries. The database, developed by the Statewide IPM Project with data from the California Department of Pesticide Regulation, includes summaries of pesticides used on California crops detailed by commodity, pesticide, county, and month.

Congratulations to the California Pesticide Impact Assessment Program (CAPIAP), on the inauguration of its WWW site (http://www.capiap.ucdavis.edu).
